It seems as if this may be a forum exclusively for shepherds, as opposed to the shepherdED, and if so, we'll start treating it that way. At any rate, we'll be giving updates here (like, when we get everybody matched up and the mentor/mented meetings start up, we'll say so here), and taking questions here. And we'll be publishing stories here. It's... good.

Steven - I just wanted you to post somewhere on the site that I am finished with all the female shepherding-matches. All sheep and shepherds have been contacted as of today (Tuesday) by email from me. Not all sheep received matches unfortunately, but most did.
ReplyDeleteI will make one comment about what I saw in the women's responses... we have a LOT of young married women and young moms wanting to be shepherded by older mothers/wives. Unfortunately, there is a noticeable absence of wives/mothers in their 30s/40s. I was really struck by this to the point that I want to email a bunch of women I know in that life-stage and say "HEY! Women need you!" I did my best to give matches but I think many were hoping for older women that just aren't coming forward.
Anyway - I thought it might be worthwhile to post this just to bring closure to the women's follow up from the meeting.
